Membership in the NESS includes notification of all lectures, special events and activities, discounts on seminars and events sponsored by the NESS, and a 40% discount on back issues of the Skeptical Inquirer (official publication of CSI, the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry).

Some members join to support the cause of skepticism, still others because they wish to participate in the activities of our society. There are no prerequisites for membership, except some interest in skepticism, science, or the paranormal.
