Northeast Conference on Science and Skepticism

This is a full day skeptical conference featuring lectures, panel discussions, and a live SGU recording – hosted by the NESS and the New York City Skeptics. Speakers include James Randi, D.J. Grothe, Steve Mirski, Jamy Ian Swiss, and others. The full list of speakers, plus registration, can be found on the NECSS website. Space is limited so register early. Prices are $65, or $40 for students, NESS or NYCS members.

The Amazing Meeting 8
July 8-10, 2010 Las Vegas, Nevada
This is a three-day skeptical extravaganza – the meeting that has developed into the annual meeting of the skeptical movement – hosted by the James Randi Educational Foundation. The SGU will be recording two live shows on Friday and Saturday morning. Dr. Novella will also be running two Science-Based Medicine workshops on Thursday. And the SGU will host a dinner Friday night. Check www.randi.org for registration and more information.

There will be a live recording of the SGU, plus Steven Novella and the Rogues will be participating in multiple panels in the Skeptical, Podcasting, and Science tracks. Don’t forget to bring your light saber.

The SGU was kindly invited down under by the Australian Skeptics to their annual skeptical conference. It sounded like so much fun they decided to make it a party – and invited the JREF and made it into an official TAM event.
